I'll hopefully be getting some new products this weekend so I'll keep you posted. And I am hoping that I have an event coming up that will afford me the opportunity to take some pics of the make up I've done. I'm not sure when this will happen but I'll keep you up to date with that. And hopefully I'll be able to have some pics of someone other than myself!

Ulta Portfolio Case Make Up Kit (Quick Review)

Ok so here it is. I paid $20 ( I had a $5 off coupon) and for the most  part it was worth it. I love all the colors. The brushes and applicators are pretty useless but I don't care, I have enough of those. The black eyeliner is the best one. The other colors don't have a lot of pigment but they're still useful. The lipgloss and lipstick are all great, I love the colors and the texture and they don't have any fragrance so that's good for me! The lip gloss's in the pans are nice too. Good color as well. I expected them to be pretty sheer but they're not. The blush is nice too, good color payout. It is more powdery than creamy. The eyeshadows in the quads (on the left) are great, nice pigmentation and they're shimmer, which I love. The other shadows are good too. Maybe comparable to like a Wet N Wild, but for some reason I prefer the ones in the quads. I've been having issues with creasing and I don't know if the shadows on the right or if it's the combination of primer/shadow. All I know is that I never had a problem with my primer before.

All in all I probably wouldn't buy this again. I love it now, and I will get lots of use out of it, but I could have gotten something better for my $20.

**Note: I bought this myself with my own money. I was not compensated in any way.***

FOTD 10.18.11 (7/100)

This was the first time I used my home made mixing medium for pigments. I only used it on the gold pigment. I've been having problems with creasing lately, not sure if its the primer (I used a different one today, same problem) or what.
Anyway...here's today's look:

ELF Smokey Eyes (Pic Heavy)

I was at Target and I saw this palette for $5 so of course I couldn't resist.

I used this palette once before I took these pics. The second shadow down on the left broke the second time I used it. As soon as I touched my brush to it, it cracked. I was very disappointed. All of these shadows are super soft. The only thing I really like are the cream liners (3 in a row on the left.)
3 Cream Liners and Eyeliner
I'm glad I swatched the cream liner because I didn't realize there was a blue one. It looked black in the pan.
This is a swatch of the top row with a primer base. (Claudia Stevens primer from Sally's beauty)

I suck at swatching, This is the second row.

Third Row

It's typical of ELF eyeshadows. You definitely need a primer base, you can build on the colors, it's very powdery and soft. I've never had an ELF eyeshadow break before though.

Overall I love the colors and the cream liners so for $5 I would buy this again.

**Note: I bought this myself with my own money**
