I don't know if any of you are big fans of Sally Beauty Supply buy I love their Femme Couture line of gel liners! What's your favorite gel liner?

Tarte for True Blood Review and Swatches

The set comes with primer, mascara, and full size gel liner.

First off, I LOVE this packaging! Its absolutely beautiful. It's the main reason why I bought this. I'm not really into "keeping up with the Jones es" in the make up world and getting all the expensive make up. But I love True Blood so when I saw this I just HAD to get it. It took me a while, it was on the expensive side and hard to justify but I'm so happy I have it.

I did some swatches. I suck at swatching but I did my best.

I swatched all of these with the primer that came with this set.

The pigmentation was quite good, every time I've used it my make up has come out spot on. It also blends quite well.

The shimmer shadows are actually quite glittery. Not always the best thing and not my favorite. But really it's only "waitress" that I find to be too glittery.  The silver one "The true death" is great. Not glittery but amazingly shimmery.

I hate the eyeliner (emphasEYES gel liner). It's way too soft. As soon as I touch it to my eye lid, it smudges. The mascara is OK. Not any better than anything else I've ever used. As far as the primer goes, I've used better for far cheaper.

Overall I would buy this again because its True Blood. I'm glad I have it, I love using it but if it wasn't for the True Blood theme, I wouldn't buy it.

If there's anything I missed please feel free to ask!!

FOTD 10.3.11 and NYC Limited Edition Palette Review

I was in CVS recently and I saw this palette by NYC and I fell in love immediately (like I do with lots of makeup products). The main reason is because it is the most colorful palette I have seen from NYC. Other than their duos that they had out. But as far as 4 pan palettes with primer and highlighter, I really loved this one. I have another one from NYC and I love the primer and the quality of the eyeshadow so I knew I would love it. This palette says its for green eyes but as you can see, mine are brown and I think it worked just fine.

Without primer.

With primer.

I love the primer that comes with this. Its very creamy but it doesn't crease. And you can definitely see a huge difference with and without. It's also very easy to blend the eyeshadow over it.

The silver/gray in this palette isn't really that pigmented but I think it's great for day wear. As a matter of fact, the look I did today was for work. If you built on it, I'm sure it could be used for a night look as well.

This is the highlighter that comes in the palette. I used it on my cheekbones in this look.

FOTD 9.30.11 Tarte For True Blood (3) "Not Your Average Waitress"

Me and my hubby went to a wedding on Friday and of course like any other girlie girl I bought a new dress and did my make up and put some fake eyelashes on! It was a very intimate wedding but we had a blast. There were a few times that we were the only ones on the dance floor but we didn't mind. I'm sure people thought we were crazy but we laughed and had a blast.

I used my Tarte for True Blood palette again. Hubby picked out the look he wanted me to use out of the 4 mini tutorials that came with the palette. He has good taste!

My new favorite dress!!!

Products used:

Face:
Boots No7 Mousse foundation - I love this foundation because it gives really great, full, coverage. I don't have to use a face primer with this product either.
Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder
The blush I used was from my NYX Pro Make Up Kit. If you wanna see it, let me know!

Eyes:
Femme Couture gel liner - Espresso
Femme Couture mascara - black
Tarte for True Blood palette - Dusk  (all over eye lid), waitress (in the crease), werewolf (into the outer crease and lower lashline)

I used fake eyelashes by ELF.

My lips are bare in these pics.

Alone on the dance floor :D

Tarte for True Blood (teaser)

I bought this palette a week ago now and I've used it a few times. I'm going to be doing swatches of all the colors, I just thought I would give you a little teaser so you would stay tuned.

I absolutely love the packaging, I think they did a great job. I love all the colors and I love that there's a nice variety of light and dark colors, as well as matte and shimmer.

It comes with eye primer, full size eye liner, and mascara.

There are definitely a few pros and cons. More pros than cons. But I'll get into that later.
