FOTD 9/21/11 (pic heavy)

This is my Face of the Day today. I love blue eyeshadow and a nice way to be able to pull it off for everyday wear is to pair it with a more neutral color, like brown. Under the pictures I'll post the products used.

Eyes:
NYX Pro Make up Kit
ELF Cream eye liner - brown
Maybelline Colossal mascara - brown (I used about 3 coats)

Face:
Boots No7 Mousse Foundation - New Ivory
ELF Mattifying Translucent powder

This is the NYX Kit that I used for eyes, blush and lip gloss:

  1. Hi Heather!! Congrats!!!
I have a question...It looks like you lined your water line. I have trouble when I try to do that. My eyes always water and run. I think it's probably the brands I use. Do u have any recommendations for a black liner that is for sensitive eyes and will stay put!?!?!? Thanks, Noahla

  2. It can be the brand but it can also just be that you're not used to it. I used to have problems lining my upper water line but the more I do it, the easier its getting (even though it still tickles). But if its burning than I would say that would be the brand you're using. I used ELF cream liner here for this look. Not sure how long it will last because I just did it but I'll get back to you at the end of the day. I used NYC waterproof eyeliner pencil, dipped in the cream and lined it that way. Anything water proof should stay put. If you go to Ulra or Sephora you can try different brands and find one that works for you. There are so many out there, its impossible to say what would work for each individual because everyone is so different. Thanks for reading!!

  3. I didn't line the upper water line in this particular FOTD, just the lower one.

  4. Thanks Heather!! I think I am more sensitive now cause I used to line the lower water line in high school and it never bothered me. I will try some more brands. I need to get over to Ulta to try out some stuff!!!!!

  5. The ELF liner lasted quite a while. Longer than I expected. But that may be because I used it with the NYC water proof liner. NYC is in inexpensive drugstore brand but its actually quite good.
